THE BRIER CREEK AREA:
Brier Creek, a popular neighborhood at the cross roads of Raleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill and Cary is quickly becoming a mecca of Active Adult communities. The Brier Creek Country Club is the core of the neighborhood and was built about 20 years ago. It features an 18-hole Arnold Palmer designed golf course with expansive clubhouse, pool, and tennis pavilion. Gorgeous large homes soon came in to surround the area mixed with upscale townhomes and executive condos. With a short commute to Research Triangle Park and the Raleigh international airport, it has become a prime location within the Raleigh/Durham area. Residents also enjoy endless choices of restaurants, shops and services in the many nearby shopping areas.
In the last 10 years additional neighborhoods have been built nearby including four major Active Adult communities: Carolina Arbors, Creekside at Bethpage, Fendol Farms, and Andrews Chapel. Although each has either a Raleigh or a Durham mailing address, they are better known as the “Brier Creek Area” highlighting the prime location.
While many Active Adult communities are built on the far outskirts of a desirable city, these communities are within minutes of all the Raleigh area has to offer. In addition to being a beautiful and vibrant area, it is a hub for the entire Triangle area of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, and also about 20 minutes to Cary in one direction and Wake Forest in the other.
The Brier Creek Country Club (shown in pink) is the heart of the Brier Creek Area and has four major Active Adult communities (red stars). Active Adults also enjoy the proximity to the greater recreational and cultural offerings nearby. Briar Creek is minutes to the Raleigh/Durham airport, Research Triangle Park, Jordan Lake, Falls Lake, Duke University, NC State University, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and several top hospitals in the US including Duke. It is also just 2 hours from the beach and 3 hours from the Appalachian Mountains. Please give me a call if I can answer any questions for you.
